This album contains a selection of photos and images of papercuts and posters taken by me or collected between 1971 and 1991. These may be used with full acknowledgement for non-profit and educational purposes.
1991: Henan, Red Flag Canal
This irrigation canal, hacked out of the rock in the Cultural Revolution, is now a tourist attraction. The calligraphy (by the Maoist scholar Guo Moro) reads "Qingnian dong" -- Youth Cave -- referring to a section of the canal tunnelled through the rock.
